Preview: Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

sony_ericsson_xperia_x1-300x296 Preview: Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 a super PDA. Well I haven’t gotten to hold one or even see one in person but just from the specifications and can tell you now that this is a whole lot of hardware in a small package. Considering what this phone is carrying “under the hood” it weighs a mere 5.57 ounces, or as much as an 80 gig iPod. As far as it’s size goes, it’s half an inch thick and about the same size as an iPod. Not only is it small but its beautiful.

The brushed steel is pretty easy on the eyes, it has the “curved slide” that angles the screen up, sorta like a banana. The buttons on it are nicely separated, which is good for people with big fingers. :) The screen is one of the best, it’s flush, bright, A TOUCH SCREEN and has a VERY high resolution480 x 800 to be exact. The stuff “under the hood” gets me excited.

The Xperia X1 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and uses a 32bit Qualcomm MSM7201A CPU. It has an amazing 256 MB of Ram capacity and a bunch of other stuff. Take a look at the exact specs over here. To summarize those specs, they are nothing less than the best.

Sony Ericsson is claiming that the battery life is supposed to be an amazing 6 hours of talk or browsing time, BUT thats of course not yet final.

But all you guys and gals are gonna have to wait a bit to get your paws on one of these Sony Ericsson Xperia X1s cause its scheduled for release some time in September of 2008.
